Why reformer pilates
Before I found reformer pilates I was mid-30’s, with 3 children and exhausted with work life balance.
I’ve always had a healthy lifestyle so I knew the right thing was to force myself to the gym, or to spin class. I didn’t enjoy it at all but I so desperately wanted the benefits.
I just ended up even more depleted and paying for a gym membership I didn’t use. This made me feel even worse.

I’d heard all about reformer pilates and a studio was opening in our little coastal town so I signed up & committed to 3-4 times per week.
That was a lot for me, I didn’t even know if I was going to enjoy it! I’d heard so many great things so I thought I’d give it a go.

I laid down on the reformer for my first beginner class and I remember being a little nervous as I was learning something totally new, but the instructors were great and explained everything so well. Within that first class I fell in love, I’d worked every muscle in my body, I felt strengthened yet rejuvenated, I left the studio feeling taller and with a sense of calm.
I came out of the class and booked in my next few beginner classes knowing this was the exercise form I never knew I was looking for.
Within weeks I started to feel the difference it was making, physically and mentally. I finally found an exercise that I enjoyed, that I looked forward to going to each week.
We all have big and busy lives, kids, jobs, groceries, responsibilitlies. It’s important that you find a form of exercise that you enjoy, find it and commit to it. You’ll thank yourself later down the track. I was teaching a lady early 60’s last week and she told me how she wished she’d found this 20 years ago!
So let me ask you this, is it your time to move your body in a new way?
If you’re looking to strengthen and tone whilst increasing flexibility, need something low impact that will leave you feeling strong and rejuvenated, then you’re in the right place.
